Dreams About Sex
As an instance, 1 study found that 93 percent of men and 86 percent of girls said they had had sex fantasies earlier. And that dreams about sex often?
Participants completed an online survey where they have been asked to estimate the proportion of time they’ve erotic dreams.

Similar to previous research, many participants (83 percent ) reported having had sexual fantasies before. Typically, participants stated that 18 percent of the fantasies (approximately 1 in 5) were sexual in character; however, there was really a bit of variability throughout individuals:
· 36 percent of participants stated that 5 percent or less of the fantasies were erotic
· 17 percent of participants stated that 5-10percent of the fantasies were erotic
· 19 percent of participants stated that 10-20percent of the fantasies were erotic
· 17 percent of participants stated that 20-40percent of the fantasies were erotic
· 12 percent of participants stated that more than 40 percent of the fantasies were erotic
Who had the most sensual fantasies? Age appeared to matter. As an instance, one of 16-30 year olds, they reported that 23 percent of the fantasies were sensual.
Sex appeared to matter, also. Especially, whereas guys estimated that 21 percent of the fantasies were sexual, the amount for girls was 16 percent. Therefore, it seems that men have a tendency to have sex on the mind more frequently than girls both while they’re sleeping and while they’re awake.
It is important to be aware that even though these findings came out of a large and diverse sample, it was not representative of the populace. Additionally, people were asked to gauge how often they have sex fantasies and these quotes may not be a totally accurate reflection of how frequently sex fantasies really happen. It is likely that these amounts overestimate how frequently sex fantasies occur, possibly because gender fantasies are more memorable than other sorts of fantasies.
In prior studies where individuals reported in their dreams every day over a time period (i.e., fantasy journal studies), the percentage of sex fantasies has generally been below 10%. However, people had to compose the content of the dreams in these studies and they might not have been comfortable reporting sexually explicit vision content they knew others were likely to be studying (particularly dreams about sexual taboos). Therefore, it’s likely that the journal research were underestimating sexual fantasy content.
As always, more study will be helpful; however, these results imply that, normally, people say that roughly 1 in every 5 fantasies they have is all about gender.
What all this tells us is being engaged in a consensually non-monogamous connection appears to be equally a common sexual dream and an average sexual appetite. However, regardless of the fact that all these men and women say they are considering consensual non-monogamy, comparatively few have attempted it.
These findings are also consistent with those of other research discovering roughly 1 in 5 adults say they have been at a sexually receptive relationship earlier, in addition to studies discovering that specific kinds of individuals appear to be suited to consensual non-monogamy compared to others.
